LED Spectrum is based on my doctoral research work on Monte Carlo analysis of light in compound semiconductor. In the input area, the user defines up to 3 light sources and up to 3 encapsulations, where each encapsulation can have 3 converters. Using the Monte Carlo method, several thousand photons are simulated which may be transmitted, or absorbed & re-emitted in a longer wavelength, or simply lost based on the conditions specified by the user. The normalized output spectrum is displayed which is the sum of all the photons. Please see the sample deck below:
